Poetry has always been a great love to me. I find it very rewarding writing poetry. Its something I can do quickly and I don't need to wait weeks to see an end result.
The poems below have either been published in family documents or on my blog.
Nan Taken
They Broke the mould the day they made you, Only the moonlight knows of my fate,
Angel from above, Taken too soon or taken too late,
You took us in, Only the night seems to know of my path,
you gave us warmth and Your eternal love. Here for a minute or here till the last.
To know you was a privilege, Only the darkness to hide how I land,
A space we cannot fill, Gently shrouded alone here I stand,
Although you can't be with us, Alone in the midnight alone here I wait,
Your spirit always will. Taken too soon or Taken too late.
Ninety two years of glory, Lisa Koufidou 2011
Mother, Sister, Wife,
Nan and Friend So this is our farewell to you,
Our tribute at the end.
You may not be in our world As the person that you are,
But we know that you are with us,
And that you care,
Our biggest brightest star.
